Calling All Bandos!

Any bando who wants to help out at the golf outing on Tuesday should wear their red band polo shirt and bring their instrument. A few "Fight Songs" will be in order. The event will run 8 AM to about 3PM. Please come help out! If you have questions, call Karen Rausch (Cody's Mom) at Buck Ridge Golf Course at (937) 642-6516. See you there!

Booster Meeting Change

Just in case you're reading:

Wednesday's music booster meeting has been changed to 6:00 at Buck Ridge Golf Course clubhouse.

A Few Things Before I Sign Off...

Well...graduation is over and I'm officially on vacation (as soon as I finish this post). Thanks to everyone for the most successful year in the Fairbanks music department ever!

Here's a few things you need to do:

1. Please see updated info on the Marching Band Page.
2. DCI is July 12. The bus leaves at 2.
3. You should have your pregame music memorized already.
4. You should have your opener memorized before camp.
5. Squad leader meeting is at 7:30 A.M. July 18
6. Rookie camp begins at 8 A.M. on July 18
7. Full drumline rehearsal is July 18 1-4 P.M.
8. Pre-camp rehearsals begin for all FMB members July 19.
9. Double check the calendar of events and make certain you can attend all rehearsals and performances.
10. Relax and have a great summer!

Finally, I will not be updating this blog again until after the July 4 weekend. I will be "incommunicado" for a few weeks so I can relax, enjoy some family time, and recharge my batteries before this crazy thing we call the FM…

Band/Choir Senior Profiles

I put up a web page with all the seniors' profiles from the Spring concert in case you didn't get a program or didn't get a chance to read them. You can find it HERE.

A thought for the End of the School Year...

"We begin to see that the completion of an important project has every right to be dignified by a natural grieving process. Something that required the best of you has ended. You will miss it."

My greiving begins at 3:45 Sunday! -BK

Graduation Sunday

High school band and choir members are reminded of our performances at graduation on Sunday. Both groups will warm at 2:30. The ceremony begins at 3 and we'll be done at 3:45. Attendance is required, unless excused in advance within the attendance policy.
