FMB Holiday Parade Details - Nov. 28

I apologize for being out Monday and Tuesday. The flu bug got me and I could not escape. I would much rather have been at school!

The Milford Center Holiday Parade is this Sunday, November 28. Attendance is required for all FMB members unless you have already been excused in advance. Here's the details:

11:30am - Band Room is open
12:15pm - Warm up at old elementary in Milford
1:00 - Parade begins
1:30 - Parade ends

*If you forgot to take home your instrument or uniform, the school will open at 11:30am to get what you need. Drums and sousaphones will be transported for you.

*Dress is full uniform. If it is cold, I will have the raincoats in the trailer.

*Please have your holiday music memorized.

*Thank you for participating in this important event for the Milford Center community. You are appreciated!

Alumni Pep Band - December 21

Image
The eighth annual Fairbanks alumni pep band will be held on Tuesday, December 21. FHS band alumni from all bands and eras are welcome to come back to play on the stage and cheer the Panthers on to a victory!

We'll warm up at 6pm in the band room and perform between games and during the boys' varsity game. I promise the set list will be easy, fun, and not too taxing on the chops...even if you haven't dusted off the chops in a year...or two...or ten. LouieX2, Tequila, Land of 1000, Can't turn you loose, Sloopy, On Broadway, et al. It'll be fun, I promise!

Please RSVP by emailing me to let me know if you're coming, and also let me know if you need an instrument. I'll do my best to get folders to you in advance if possible.

You can alsoRSVP on Facebook!

Booster Meeting 11/10; A Few Words From Mary Ellen...

Greetings to all! It is hard to believe that the marching band season is over. We are beginning our Pepband season and once again will be selling our Panther Paws (concrete). This has been a great fundraiser for the band. I am planning on attending the basketball games and setting up a table to paint...if anyone is willing to come help me out....I would SO appreciate it. I will talk to Mr. Conley this week.

We will be having a music booster meeting this Wednesday, November 10 at 6:00 pm in the band room. All are welcome to come and participate in the conversation and give us your 2 cents worth. We do appreciate it!

Thank you to all and for all the help with traveling, providing food and help when needed over the last couple of weeks. I know we (the adults) appreciated it and I would be safe to say the kids did too.

Hope to see you all on Wednesday evening in the band room.

Mary Ellen
