FMB: Parent Meeting Thurs. 4/3 at 7pm

There will be a meeting for parents of 2014 marching band members on Thursday,  April 3, at 7pm in the high school band room.  This meeting will only last a brief time but will cover some very important topics relating to you and your FMB member.  I need at least one parent of every marching band member to attend, including rookie AND veteran parents.  After this meeting, you may also pay your band camp deposit and ask questions that you need answered from the boosters and Mr. Keller.  Please mark you calendars and plan on attending.  If you cannot attend on this date and time, please contact Mr. Keller to arrange an individual conference so this important conversation can take place.  It is imperative that a representative of your family attend this short meeting on April 3.  Thank you, moms and dads, for your continued support of our fine Fairbanks musicians!

FMB 2014: Les Miserables!

I've been waiting over 20 years to find the right band and the right arrangement to put Les Miserables on the field for the FMB. This Is The Season!  Our first show (and contest/festival show) will be from the famed Broadways musical.  Our SECOND show, for early October, will a two-tune Katy Perry show.  In October, we'll start working on the senior show, with music chosen by the FMB seniors.
Here are listening links for all the music:

Music Booster Meeting - March 19, 7PM

There will be a re-organizational meeting of the Fairbanks Music Boosters on Wednesday, March 19, at 7pm in the FHS band room.  It's time for a new slate of officers and some old and new projects to be undertaken.  We need your help! The Fairbanks Music Boosters is an organization dedicated to supporting the music programs at Fairbanks with both services and financial support.  Any parent of a musician in grades 1-12 are welcome to attend meetings.

On the slate for this upcoming meeting:

1. Election of new officers.  The offices of president, vice president (president-elect), and secretary are open at this time.  We need some high-quality organizers and contributors to lead us through the upcoming year.  Although not elected offices, we also need some good people in the roles of uniform coordinator and fund raising chairperson.

2. Concession stand - We are working on organizing to maximize our profits at our five home football games this fall.  Any and all ideas will be entertaine…
