Upcoming Performance Dates


It's a busy few weeks coming up in about a month. Here's all the important dates for band members:

Ohio Heritage Conference Arts Festival
Honor Band
Thursday, February 25
Depart 7am. Concert 7pm. Return 9pm.
*nominated FHSCB students only

Mid Year Concert
Monday, March 7, 7pm
JHCB, FHSCB, Choirs

FHSCB at OMEA Contest
Friday, March 11, time TBA
Thomas Worthington HS
HS band only

Sunday, March 13
Depart 12:30
Perform 2:00
Return 6:30

Alumni Marching Band Sept. 30 (Updated)

Once again we will host a Fairbanks Alumni Marching Band on Friday, September 30 at our homecoming game. There has been some continued interest so we are so glad to bring back the FAB!

RSVP at this Google Form.

I will need to know at least a week ahead of time who all is coming so I can get you in free and also make sure I have an instrument for you if you are a percussionist/low brass/mellophone.

The tentative schedule is:

5:00pm  FMB rehearses for homecoming at Harmony
5:30pm  Alumni Band music rehearsal at Harmony
5:45pm  Combined bands rehearsal at Harmony
6:15pm  Students dress for pre-game
6:50pm  FMB/Alumni Band perform pre-game
7:00pm  Game starts
8:00pm  Halftime
9:30pm  Game over

*Music will be mailed or emailed to you.  The Alumni Band will play The Victors, Alma Mater, Star Spangled Banner, and Seven Nation Army with the FMB at pre-game.

FMB: Itinerary for Winchester Classic 10/15

9:15am - School is open 9:30am - Rehearse at Harmony 10:15 - Load 10:45 - Depart 12noon - Arrive CWHS 12:45 - Warm Up 1:45 - Perform 4:00 - Awards 5:30 - Arrive FHS
Band members who are running cross country in the morning are excused from rehearsal, but need to meet us no later than 12:30pm at bus/trailer to prepare for our performance.
Pit/Scenery crew should meet us at the buses at 12noon when we arrive to get stamped and set up.
The contest starts at 12noon. There are two AA and two A bands performing before us.
We will use full props and visuals.
Wear your band T-shirt under your uniform. Come prepared with casual clothes and blankets/coats to stay cozy 2-4pm.
